PRESCHOOL FOR ALL

Preschool Enrollment Information

Central Stickney School District 110 offers an inclusive, high-quality preschool experience for 3- and 4-year-old children through the Preschool for All grant. This program provides a research-based curriculum and is offered at no cost to parents. Thanks to the grant, Sahs School is able to offer half-day preschool.

If you are interested in enrolling your child in Sahs Preschool, the first step is to attend a Preschool Screening. To request a screening appointment, please click "Preschool Screening" in the menu to the left.

Preschool Screening

Sahs School conducts Preschool Screenings to assess children's skills in communication, cognition, social-emotional development, and motor skills. The team uses a standard assessment to determine whether a child's development is on track or may be delayed.

Attending a Preschool Screening is the first step toward securing a spot in Sahs Preschool. It also helps identify any preschool-age children who may need additional instruction or support. If any concerns are raised during the screening, further evaluation will be discussed with parents.

Preschool Screenings are typically held twice a year (fall and spring), and an appointment is required. Children must be at least 2 years and 6 months old to attend. To schedule a screening, please submit the Preschool Screening Interest Form.
